In 2006 ben ik vanuit het niets met fotografie begonnen : ik ging er niet voor naar een fotoacademie, volgde er geen training fotografie voor maar ging gewoon aan de slag. Hierdoor werd ik niet gelimiteerd door technische vraagstukken en is ook mijn fotobewerking beperkt gebleven, Door deze keuze kon ik op m'n ogen vertrouwen en een eigen stijl ontwikkelen. Mijn stijl kenmerkt zich vooral door enkel het gebruik van aanwezig (natuurlijk) licht en het willen vangen van schoonheid in de brede zin van het woord.

Mijn foto's worden beschreven als sensueel en erotisch, vervreemdend en intiem. Ongeacht als het gaat over het maken van portretten, naakten, landschappen of verhalende beelden, ik start nooit met een vooropgezet plan. Alle foto's zijn het resultaat van improvisatie en intuïtie. Ik maak een afspraak met iemand (niet uitsluitend mensen die zich als model profileren), zoek voor een mooie locatie en afhankelijk van het weer, de stemming en de onderlinge interactie, wordt de sfeer van de fotoshoot geboren en de beelden gecreëerd.

De mensen met wie ik werk, kies ik op basis van intuïtie. Ik zoek nooit naar perfecte gezichten of perfecte lichamen. Het is de blik in iemands ogen die me intrigeert. Op deze manier heb ik al het geluk gehad om met verschillende mensen uit verscheidene landen te mogen werken.
Ik ben ook altijd op zoek naar nieuwe mensen.

Mijn werk is tentoongesteld tijdens de Florence Photo Biennale in 2011, de Open Art Fair Utrecht in 2012, de Biennale van Chianciano in 2013, de Biennale van Salerno in 2016 en de Biennale van Londen in 2017.
In de maanden maart - april 2019 had ik een tentoonstelling bij galerij Persoon te Eersel (Nederland). En vervolgens nogmaals in november 2019 - januari 2020. Deze tentoonstellingen toonden een variëteit aan foto's, gaande van 'gewone' foto's tot foto's gemaakt achter glas tot reflecties. Ook heb ik er toen een installatie opgebouwd 'Reflections on Life' waar ik beelden heb samengevoegd die tonen dat het leven ook zwaar kan zijn.
Daarnaast werd m'n werk ook gepubliceerd in verschillende kunst- en fotografieboeken.
In November 2014 werd m'n eigen boek 'In Search of Intimacy' uitgebracht via uitgeverij Lecturis.

In 2006, I took up photography out of the blue : without any training and therefore not feeling limited by technical aspects. Just by doing it, I found and created my own style. A style achieved by using nothing else then natural light and my eyes. Like with analogue photography, my editing is stripped to a bare minimum.

My photographs are described as sensual and erotic, using an alienating and sometimes even raw style. Whether they are portraits, nudes, landscapes or narrative images, I never have a set up plan for my shoots. All photos are the result of improvisation and intuition. I choose a person (not limited to people who profile themselves as a model) and a location and, depending on the weather, mood of the day, model-interaction and the settings, the image is born.

The people I work with are chosen by intuition, I am never looking for perfect bodies or perfect faces. It’s the look in someone’s eyes that intrigues me. This way I worked with lots of beautiful people from different countries.
I am always looking for new people to work with.

My work was part of the Florence Biennale 2011, Open Art Fair Utrecht 2012, the Biennales of Chianciano 2013, Salerno 2016 and London 2017.
In the months March until April 2019 I had an exhibition at the art gallery Person in Eersel (the Netherlands). I had a follow-up exhibition in the months November 2019 until January 2020. These exhibitions showed a variety of photos : 'ordinary' photos, photos made behind windows and reflections. Besides that I also created an installation 'Reflections on Life', showing life can also be hard on people.
My works have also been published in several editorial books and in November 2014 my first book “In search of Intimacy” was published by Lecturis.

The photos on this website have no titles since I only invented them afterwards and on demand of others. For a while I felt the need to make up titles with exhibitions and publications in books in mind, but it never felt right. Then I stopped altogether when a friend pointed out to me that by giving my photos a title, and even more by explaining how they were created, I was depriving viewers from the right to make their own interpretation of a picture.
