A workshop using wax fabric remnants from Gambian tailors took place on 29 and 30 July 2023, led by Ostend pattern-designer Marian De Coninck.
Participants not only made colourful creations, including such as a migratory bird, fish or bookmark, but learned more about the typical colourful fabrics with African prints on them, their dyeing process and the commercialisation of these fabrics by our northern neighbours.
