Musician, composer and inventor Max Vandervorst got down to work with the workshop participants, building their own musical instruments from recycled materials. Strange sounds were conjured up from a combination of seemingly everyday objects. Together with other participants, African-inspired rhythms and melodies were played on the new creations.
Max Vandervorst has been creating unique musical instruments since 1988 and has created music for numerous performances. He is also founder of the Maison de la Pataphonie in Dinant and has written several reference books on alternative instrument making.
