  • Cooperation between the waste collection services of Ostend and Banjul since 2008.
  • Donation of four waste collection trucks (in 2008, 2015, 2016 and 2017 respectively) for the waste collection service in Banjul. In 2020-2021, two more waste collection trucks will be purchased using European grants.

  • Hanne Decloedt of Butterfly Pads raises awareness among, and supports, many schoolgirls in schools in Banjul about reusable sanitary pads. (2016-2018)
  • Collaboration with Engineers Without Borders to analyse waste-related problems in Banjul. (2019)
  • Two waste collection trucks will be purchased and 5,700 waste bins distributed as part of the EU 'Future Proof Banjul' project. (2020-2021)
